Ups and Downs

Hallo Blogwelt, hi Blogworld,

obwohl ich nicht untätig war, kann ich kaum etwas zeigen... *seufz*
Though if've been busy I can't show a lot... *sigh*

Am Wholecloth ist einiges vorangegangen (das unterste Grid - vielleicht 1/25-tel vom Ganzen? - hab ich von links nach rechts *juhuu* - und es mach tiiiiiierisch Laune, daran zu arbeiten!) und ein weiteres ACL-Blöckchen ist auch fertig :-)
My wholecloth grew a little lot (the first part of the grid near the bottom border - probably a 25th of the quilt? - is done and it's great fun to work on that) - and another block of the ACL is done *smile*:
Dafür hat mich am letzten Sonntag ein ziemlicher Tiefschlag erwischt. Zunächst dachte ich ja, dass ich ich alle Sterne für meine 3 Moon Glows genäht habe. Wollte also voller Stolz das erste Top zusammensetzen und fing an mir ernsthaft zu zweifeln an. Alle Sterne hatte ich durchnummeriert und mit einem Nummerzettelchen versehen. Auf einmal fehlten 2 Blöcke. Gut, dachte ich - bei 36 Sternblöcken kann frau ja schonmal durcheinander kommen. Suchte, suchte und suchte, ohne Erfolg.
But last Sunday I have been totally shocked. As I thought, I did all star blocks for my 3 Moon Glow quilts, proudly me wanting to put the blocks for the first top together. But I got some doubts on myself. I pinned on each block a piece of paper with the number on it, suddenly I missed two blocks. Okay, I thought, having 36 star blocks may be a good reason to become disorientated. Well, I searched a lot without success.

Bis ich darauf kam, dass zwei Sterne (in den Ecken) doppelt verwendet werden. *schluck*. Krise. Ärmel hochgekrempelt und die ersten beiden der noch 6 fehlenden Sterne sind zwischenzeitlich genäht - den anderen vieren hab ich den Krieg erklärt *LOL*...
Nun könnte ich ja eigentlich ja das erste Top doch endlich zusammensetzen. Wenn da nicht...

Until I realized, that 2 star pattern (for the corners) are used double. *damm...* Krises. I instantly started to work on the missing stars, now 2 of them are done - the others got a war declaration... ;-) Now I finally would be able to put the first top together if ...



... das lästige Finanzamt wäre und partout die Erklärung für 2007 wollen würde...
...not there would be the German tax administration, that wants the declaration for 2007...


Also gibt's halt ein paar Tage Schaffenspause und dann geht es in die Vollen. Hier liegt nämlich schon seit Wochen ein fertiges Top (Auftragsquilt), das nach gequiltet werden schreit und ich möchte es gerne bis Weihnachten fertig haben... Mal sehen, ob mir das gelingt. Wenn es dann überreicht ist, gibt's davon auch Detailbilder in Hülle und Fülle, versprochen! :-)
I'll stop working on my quilting projects for a little while and do this declaration. After that, I instantly will work on a finished quilt top (job) that now has to be quilted and I would love to finish that for Xmas. Let's see, if i'll succeed to follow my time table. When the customer has it, I'll show lots of pics, I promise! :-)

Eigens dafür hat mir Männe mal wieder was gebaut... :-))))))))))) Ich muss allerdings dazusagen, dass es noch nicht ganz fertig ist - die - wie nannte er es doch so charmant? "Speckfalten-Aussparungen" fehlen noch... Ist er nicht zuckersüß? *grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
Especially for that hubby build some more stuff for me. :-)))))))))))))) But I have to mention, it's not wholy done. There is something missing on the "ground" - don't know, how to translate his cute description to make it ergonomic for my fluffy mom-of-two-body *LOL*. Isn't he so sweet????? *grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
(die ersten Mädels stehen schon in den Löchern und haben dieselben Rahmen gefordert, falls mein Prototyp Quiltrahmen - die "Schoßlösung" - sich bei mir bewährt.
the first friends of mine are just waiting for my evaluation of it, for him to build them one, too, if I'm satisfied with it.)
